Our Story

It started with helping people quit.

In 2013, Tom Wasilewski and Mark Mills — both former long-time smokers — opened their first retail shop in northern Michigan, helping adults step away from combustible cigarettes. Years behind that counter taught them one lesson that still runs the company: people don't need hype. They need products that do exactly what the label says.

When hemp-derived CBD reached the U.S. market, they carried that lesson into a new venture, built on two non-negotiables: quality ingredients and exceptional taste. After extensive formulation and testing — and an overwhelming response to the first sample batches — NTRL, Nature's True ReLeaf, was born.

Today, NTRL is a full manufacturing operation. We source, formulate, produce, test, and package under one roof — for the 43 products that carry our name, and for brands you already know that trust our facility with theirs.

Every claim on this page has a paper trail. That's the difference between a brand that says “lab tested” and a manufacturer that publishes the lab results.

Section 781 of the FD&C Act rewrites the definition of federally legal hemp. The current standard limits only Delta-9 THC. The new one counts total THC — Delta-8, Delta-10, THC-A, THC-P, and every other intoxicating isomer — with a strict per-container cap.

For most of this industry, that's an extinction-level event they haven't scheduled yet. Products will vanish from shelves overnight, and brands that waited will spend 2027 apologizing to their retailers.

We started early. Compliance isn't a cost center at NTRL — it's the moat. When the standard changes, the manufacturers still standing will be the ones who treated the deadline as a head start.
